This picture is 2 feet by 3 feet.
During my AP art studio class we worked with a professional artist named Tadashi.
He taught us to work with "freedom", and not to think just to do what we see.
The background has a coffee base, the flowers are karindash, liquid graphite, charcoal ,and acrylic.
This was one of my favorite projects that we did all year.

Graphite and Sharpie
This was a piece that I created in Drawing and Painting 3. It was an alphabet piece. We either had to incorporate the actual letters of the alphabet or images that symbolized each letter. I really enjoyed this piece, ecspecially because it was a black and white piece,(something that I don't usually do).

Watercolor
This project was my favorite project from all year.
It was from my drawing and painting 3 class.
This surface painting we had to draw and then paint with watercolor to look exactly like the picture we chose.
This project really took me out of my comfort zone, because I don't usually work this realistically.

In this piece, the goal was to create simplified textures. The textures came from anywhere and could be anything.
Prisma Color
This image was from when I took a design class.
In each of the three images we had to hide our name in a design. In each we also had to use a different type of color palette.
This was my favorite image that I did from that class because design is what I truly enjoy doing.

Scratch Board
This project is from my drawing and painting 2 class. Scratch board. This projects was one of my least favorites and took me the longest to get an interest in. In the class we had to choose an animal that we wanted to do, and I chose a turtle. |
We were given a piece of paper with two random images glued together. Our challenge was to recreate the image on the card using acrylic paints.

This picture is a portrait of my grandmother.
I did it with charcoal and pencil.
Its 8 inches by 11 inches.

This is an altered self portrait from my drawing and painting 2 class. I wanted the idea of a self portrait not to be typical, I wanted it to be something unusual. Personally I find doing portraits intimidating, but having this portrait be unusual I enjoyed it much more than a typical one.
Coffee, watercolor, and charcoal
This picture is a watercolor based image from when we worked with the artist Tadashi. This was the second time working with him and this time he wanted us to work with something besides flowers, so we worked with peppers. Again he wanted us to just do and not think. This was another one of my favorite pieces. We started with a coffee base for the background and the rest I did with water color and liquid graphite. This image is 2 feet by 3 feet. |
This was an exaggerated portrait of a friend in my AP studio class.
